Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Hand Therapist to join our team in delivering comprehensive hand therapy and rehabilitation services. Our specialists have extensive knowledge of the impact of hand injuries on patients' daily lives and work closely with them to develop tailored rehabilitation programs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert therapeutic interventions, creating customized rehabilitation plans, conducting pain management sessions, and assessing work sites for ergonomic improvements.

  • Deliver high-quality therapeutic interventions to patients with hand-related conditions or injuries.
  • Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation programs that cater to patients' unique needs.
  • Lead pain management sessions to equip patients with strategies to manage chronic pain effectively.
  • Evaluate work environments to identify areas for improvement and provide actionable recommendations.

In addition to these key responsibilities, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have a strong commitment to ongoing professional development.

Requirements

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
  • Be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

For Experienced Hand Therapists, we seek individuals with:

  • Strong proficiency in therapeutic interventions, post-operative care, and rehabilitation programs.
  • Knowledge of pain management techniques, arthritis management programs, and hydrotherapy practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting thorough work site assessments and providing informed ergonomic recommendations.
  • Skill in creating and fitting custom splints, braces, and waterproof fracture casts.
