Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and oversee the day-to-day operations of the construction team, including guiding, mentoring, and supporting supervisors, apprentices, and contractors.
  • Manage multiple high-value residential projects, ensuring quality, safety, cost control, and client satisfaction at all times.
  • Coordinate project schedules, resources, and budgets to achieve timely, on-budget delivery without compromising craftsmanship.
  • Assist with quoting, project estimation, and feasibility reviews.
  • Conduct site inspections and assess design proposals to identify structural or budgetary considerations.
  • Evaluate building sites to ensure they meet regulatory and compliance standards for safety, cleanliness, and resource and environmental management.
  • Promote a commitment to health, safety, and wellbeing by following safe work practices and encouraging adherence to WHS policies and procedures.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with clients throughout the construction process through clear communication and expert advice.
About You:
  • You will have extensive experience in residential construction management, preferably with a track record in custom or higher-value projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end projects involving diverse technical expertise and complex matters.
  • Proven business acumen and ability to develop and monitor budgets and financial targets.
  • High level of proficiency in MS Applications, Project Management software, CRM, etc.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of South Australian building codes, legislation, and quality standards.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills to inspire and guide teams and contractors.
  • Effective communication, influence, and negotiation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Exceptional organisational skills to manage competing priorities without losing sight of detail.
