We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health Specialist to join our team at Parklife Metro, working on the transformative Metro project connecting St Marys to Bradfield. As part of this joint venture with Plenary, RATP Dev, Siemens, and Webuild, you will be responsible for providing governance for occupational health and hygiene activities associated with the systematic assessment and management of occupational health risks.

Job Summary

This is a full-time role based at our Integrated Project Office in St Marys or Western Sydney Project Office in Orchard Hills, with travel to sites along the alignment required to conduct testing and other tasks. You will work closely with the client to maintain a working relationship and provide occupational health and hygiene expertise to support the successful delivery of the project.

Responsibilities
  • Conducting health risk assessments to identify potential hazards and developing strategies to mitigate them
  • Creating health management plans to ensure the well-being of employees and minimize the risk of workplace injuries and illnesses
  • Collaborating with site-based teams and frontline supervisors to implement occupational health and hygiene initiatives and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports of occupational health and hygiene activities and metrics
Requirements
  • A postgraduate qualification relevant to occupational hygiene or ICertOH (other qualifications in science or a related discipline are desirable)
  • Recognised as a current Certified Occupational Hygienist by the AIOH (Mandatory)
  • Full membership with the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygiene (AIOH)
  • High flexibility with working arrangements – regular site travel across the Western Sydney Airport Metro contract is required
