  • As a Water Resources Engineer with 2-10 years of experience, you will be part of a dynamic and committed team of diverse water specialists driving change for your community. This role offers a variety of work involving leading water resource studies, including water balance and water quality assessments, option studies, for infrastructure projects of varying scales across the built environment, energy and resource, and environmental sectors.
  • This position also involves leading the water resource component of Environmental Impact Assessments, evaluating potential environmental effects, developing mitigation strategies and management plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, managing multidisciplinary projects, maintaining strong client relationships, coordinating with stakeholders to deliver project outcomes and supporting the development of junior staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading water resource studies and providing solutions to complex problems;
  • Developing and implementing effective mitigation strategies and management plans;
  • Coordinating with clients and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery;
  • Mentoring and guiding junior staff to help them develop their skills;
  • Contributing to business development and writing proposals to secure new projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Civil and/or Environmental Engineering or equivalent qualification;
  • Strong understanding of environmental issues associated with surface water, groundwater, recycled water and surplus water;
  • Proficiency in GIS, rainfall-runoff models, GoldSIM, and advanced Excel skills;
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
