About Fortescue's Line Borer Role

\
Fortescue is seeking a skilled Line Borer to join the Mobile Equipment Maintenance team at Eliwana on a 2:2 roster.\
In this role, you will support the mobile maintenance fleet with planned and unplanned line boring tasks on a variety of earthmoving components, both in the workshop and during field-based operations.

Key Responsibilities

\
• Setup and operation of machining tools and equipment.\
• Complete minor welding and fabrication tasks as required.\
• Use liquid nitrogen for the assembly and fitting of various components.\
• Maintain and troubleshoot boring equipment to ensure optimal performance.\
• Conduct quality checks to ensure compliance with specifications.\
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to identify and resolve equipment issues.

Qualifications and Experience

\
Nationally recognised trade qualification
High regard for safety
EWP Ticket
A keen eye for detail, presentation and craftsmanship in bucket rebuilds, repairs and refurbishments.\
Significant post-trade experience with heavy earth moving equipment\
Current Drivers Licence (HR Desireable)
