Heavy Earthmoving Equipment Technician

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Earthmoving Equipment Technician to join our team at Eliwana. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the mobile maintenance fleet with planned and unplanned line boring tasks on various earthmoving components.

Main Responsibilities:

\
  • \
  • Setup and operation of machining tools and equipment\
  • Complete minor welding and fabrication tasks as required\
  • Maintain and troubleshoot boring equipment to ensure optimal performance\
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure compliance with specifications\
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to identify and resolve equipment issues\
  • General Boilermaker repairs/fabrication, replacing wear plates and strips, cutting, grinding and welding steel sections\
  • Replacing work Ground engaging tools (G.E.T), Boom and Stick Crack Repairs, Chassis repairs on CAT/Liebherr/Komatsu machinery, Blade/bucket/tray/machine inspections\
  • In pit repairs and problem solving breakdowns\

  • Nationally recognised trade qualification\
  • High regard for safety\
  • EWP Ticket\
  • A keen eye for detail, presentation and craftsmanship in bucket rebuilds, repairs and refurbishments\
  • Significant post-trade experience with heavy earth moving equipment\
  • Current Drivers Licence\
