Job Title: Cyber Security Governance Lead

This is a challenging and rewarding role that offers the opportunity to shape and deliver outcomes that directly support cyber security resilience and compliance obligations.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement and evaluate cyber security governance frameworks, policies and assurance activities to ensure alignment with NSW's cyber security policy.
  • Identify and address compliance gaps by collecting evidence to demonstrate adherence to the NSW Cyber Security Policy.
  • Coordinate key deadlines set by Cyber NSW and provide strategic advice, progress updates and escalate risks to senior leadership as necessary.
  • Act as the primary liaison with Cyber NSW during the Assurance Framework Pilot and engage with technical and business teams to gather evidence and drive action.
  • Prepare high-level reports, briefs and recommendations to inform decision-making and provide strategic advice on cyber security matters.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Must have significant experience in cyber security, risk, compliance or governance roles and possess strong project management skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive stakeholder relationships and competing priorities while delivering results in complex environments.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience preparing strategic reports, briefs and advice.
  • Tertiary qualifications in cybersecurity, risk, compliance or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
