Safety Manager Advocate

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Safety Improvement and Investigation Advisor. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Perth, Western Australia.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and health of employees through the delivery of professional safety services, promotion, and management of the Mine Safety Management System. They will also assist frontline leaders in developing Health and Safety knowledge, coach all workforce on safety management, and maintain the INX database.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain the Health and Safety Management Systems
- Assist frontline leaders in developing Health and Safety knowledge
- Coaching all workforce on safety management
- Maintain INX database
- Assist Incident reporting through SRS
- Interface with internal and external parties
- Conduct Health and Safety audits
- Facilitate risk assessments
- Lead Health and Safety Initiatives and improve safety management processes
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications in WHS or related discipline
- Minimum 2 years' experience in resource safety role
- Knowledge of statutory safety requirements relevant to the processes
- Advanced PC skills and computer literacy i.e. Microsoft applications mainly excel/word
- Experience in Incident Investigation (ICAM certification - Essential Factors preferred)
