About the Role

Vic Grid is seeking a highly experienced Communications and Corporate Affairs Director to join our team. As a key member of the executive, you will be responsible for developing and delivering best-practice communications strategies across our policy and project delivery program.


Your Key Responsibilities

Some of your key responsibilities will include:



  • Developing and implementing proactive and reactive media strategies to enhance our reputation and manage reputational risk;
  • Leading our policy and project communications teams to proactively identify and promptly respond to media and public affairs issues;
  • Providing guidance and quality control to the team in the preparation of speeches, social media content, fact sheets, newsletters, media releases, correspondence, and publicity material;
  • Overseeing our branding and social media strategies and ensuring consistency across all initiatives and products.

Your Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:



  • Extensive demonstrable experience in developing and delivering communications and corporate affairs strategies and materials through a wide variety of channels and platforms – preferably inside or close to government;
  • Superior people and issues management skills, honed within complex and high-pressured major project and/or policy reform environments: energy sector experience highly regarded;
  • Demonstrated specialist skills to enhance our reputation and manage reputational risk;
  • Tertiary qualifications in communications or a related discipline.
