Job Title: Analytics Specialist

About the Role:

As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our data analytics capability and enhancing risk insight and assurance coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with audit teams to deliver assurance and consulting activities, fostering collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
  • Establish continuous monitoring across key business risks and controls, ensuring proactive identification and mitigation of potential issues.
  • Develop innovative dashboards that provide actionable insights, driving business decisions and growth.
  • Undertake targeted data interrogation to identify trends and patterns, informing strategic planning and execution.
  • Embed a data-analytics driven culture within the organization, promoting a culture of data-driven decision making.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrate technical expertise in data analytics, preferably with experience in banking industry and consulting, as well as internal audit, risk or similar fields.
  • Strong understanding of the analytics lifecycle, from data collection to insights generation.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Qlik, Python, KNIME, and SQL, with exposure to React and Big Data/Machine Learning techniques an added advantage.
  • Excellent problem-solving and quantitative analysis skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with strong listening and interpreting abilities.
  • Ability to develop and maintain good relationships with stakeholders, including collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Qualifications in Data/Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Information Systems, or related fields.
