Project Lead: Mechanical Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled and commercially astute Project Lead to oversee the delivery of complex projects within our Mechanical Engineering department. This is a full-time role that requires a unique blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and interpersonal skills.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead project teams in the delivery of high-quality outcomes, ensuring strong stakeholder satisfaction and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist with business development initiatives, identifying and pursuing new project opportunities and nurturing long-term client relationships.
  • Manage internal design teams and oversee engineering assessments across multiple projects, ensuring seamless collaboration and efficient workflow.
  • Represent the organization in industry forums, client presentations, and strategic meetings to enhance our market presence and reputation.
  • Deliver technically sound and innovative Mechanical designs, reports, and specifications across various sectors, including health, defence, high-rise, industrial, and education.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a design consultancy environment.
  • Proven track record of client engagement and project leadership, with a strong understanding of Mechanical Building Services and HVAC design principles.
  • Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering, with a solid foundation in theoretical and practical applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality.
  • Strong technical knowledge, excellent communication and presentation skills, and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
  • A collaborative attitude, ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, and adaptability in a fast-paced and dynamic setting.
