As a seasoned professional in the payments domain, you will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive test strategies for payment systems. This role requires expertise in STIP transactions, AS2805 message validation, and performance under high transaction volumes.

Job Description
  • Develop functional, integration, regression, performance, and negative tests for payment transaction flows.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design and execute tests for issuer downtime, fallback mechanisms, and authorization paths.
  2. Validate AS2805 message flows across acquirer, issuer, and network layers.
  3. Utilize simulators like PaySim, FIME, and tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or LoadRunner for load and stress testing.
  4. Conduct analysis of transaction logs, payment switch behavior, and database records.
  5. Ensure compliance with PCI-DSS, EMVCo, encryption, tokenization, and fraud monitoring standards.
  6. Automate test cases using tools such as Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, Appium, or Jest.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 7+ years of software testing experience, with 2+ years in the payments domain.
  • Hands-on experience with AS2805 messaging and EFTPOS payment networks.
  • Knowledge of STIP, fallback processing, and payment authorization flows.
  • Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting transaction failures and message mismatches.
  • Familiarity with switch platforms like Base24, Connex, or Postilion.
  • Understanding of PCI-DSS, EMVCo, and fraud detection mechanisms.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience.
