Digital Risk and Data Enablement Expert

The position of Digital Risk and Data Enablement Expert plays a pivotal role in enhancing data quality, ensuring secure digital transformation, compliance with regulatory requirements, and embedding robust first-line governance.

This expert integrates leadership across enterprise-wide data enablement and cyber/digital risk, working closely with business and technology leaders to safeguard information assets and operational resilience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and lead an enterprise data governance roadmap and data ethics principles.
  • Develop, design, and implement data governance frameworks, policies, and controls to ensure high data quality, data protection, and regulatory compliance.
  • Define and oversee data stewardship roles, accountability models, and data literacy initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison between business and technology teams to align data protection requirements with strategic planning.
  • Monitor and report on data governance compliance and performance metrics to senior leadership.
Cyber and Digital Risk Management:
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve the Technology and Operations risk framework aligned with ISO 27001, NIST, CPS234, and CPS230 standards.
  • Perform risk identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting across cyber, data, digital delivery, and emerging technologies.
  • Lead independent deep dives into control environments and oversee internal/external audit readiness and controls assurance programs.
Leadership and Qualifications:
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to the team, ensuring activities are coordinated and aligned to deliver on business objectives.
  • Manage and influence cross-functional teams in complex environments.
  • Requires at least 7 years' experience in data governance, risk management, or compliance within financial services.
  • Demonstrated expertise in regulatory frameworks, data protection, and cybersecurity standards.
