Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist Role

As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring patient safety and producing high-quality diagnostic images. Your expertise will be instrumental in providing exceptional care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure patient safety by pre-screening for contraindications and utilizing aseptic injection techniques.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images while operating multiple MRI systems.
  • Effectively communicate with customers and radiologists to address concerns and solve problems.
  • Train and orient new staff members on MRI procedures and protocols.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent experience is required.
  • ARRT (R) or ARRT (MR) certification is mandatory, with state licensure applicable as per contract requirements.
  • CPR Certification is essential.
  • Valid state driver's license is required.
  • Ability to work at multiple locations and maintain strong customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills are necessary.
  • Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs is expected.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • An Associate's Degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT is advantageous.
  • One year of Magnetic Resonance Imaging experience is desirable.
Physical Requirements:
  • The employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions during patient transport if working on a mobile unit.
  • The employee will be exposed to a strong magnetic field.
  • Exposure to blood/body fluids and infectious disease may occur when interacting with patients.
