
US Benefits Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our HR Operations team.
In this role, you will be a key player in supporting the operational execution of employee benefits programs across the organization.
You'll focus on ensuring data accuracy, streamlining processes, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Act as a subject matter expert on the day-to-day operations of health, welfare, and retirement benefit plans.
- Analyze, audit, and reconcile benefits data across systems (e.g., HRIS, benefits platforms, vendor systems) to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve escalated benefits issues and service disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Identify trends and process inefficiencies, recommend and implement process improvements including opportunities for automation.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, workflows, and process documentation.
- Generate regular and ad-hoc reports on benefit metrics, enrollment activity, and plan performance.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Requirements:
- 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2 years of experience in benefits administration, with a strong focus on operational processes and data management.
- Proficiency in HRIS and benefits administration platforms (e.g., Darwin, Workday, ADP, PeopleSoft).
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail, ability to work with large data sets and perform root cause analysis.
- Solid understanding of employee benefits regulations and compliance requirements.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience in a centralized HR or shared services environment is a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, macros).
- Experience with benefits reporting and compliance filings.
- Knowledge of project management or process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.
