Position Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic team on a permanent full-time basis. This role offers a unique opportunity to thrive within a collaborative and high-performing environment, managing comprehensive payroll services for a workforce of approximately 600 employees.

Key Responsibilities

As a Payroll Specialist reporting to the Payroll Manager, your primary duties will encompass:

  1. Executing end-to-end payroll processing for over 600 employees using the Pulse system.
  2. Managing adjustments and deductions, including terminations, back-payments, Work Cover, Salary Continuance, Superannuation, Coal LSL, PAYG, and Payroll Tax.
  3. Conducting reconciliations for salary sacrificed flights and Novated Leases.
  4. Preparing month-end and year-end payroll reports.
  5. Addressing and resolving employee payroll inquiries promptly and professionally.
  6. Administering new employee records and updating existing files.
  7. Assisting with the implementation of HRIS projects to enhance business processes and efficiencies.
  8. Providing ad hoc support and guidance on complex payroll matters.
