About the Role

As a Personal Support Specialist, you will be required to deliver care in accordance with each client's personalized care plan developed by a qualified Care Designer. You will also need to ensure the safe use of equipment and meet the safety needs of each client.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Prepare meals and snacks for clients, following dietary guidelines and restrictions.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing living spaces.
  • Provide transportation for clients to appointments and social events.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging in conversations and activities that promote their well-being.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Experience working in a care environment, preferably in a personal support or care assistant capacity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
