About the Role

The University of Melbourne is seeking a Clinical Lecturer to join the Melbourne Dental School. As a Clinical Lecturer, you will play a key role in supervising and teaching students in clinical practice subjects, supporting the development of skills in evidence-based dentistry.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering lectures, tutorials, and contributing to curriculum development, while also engaging in clinical practice leadership and collaborating with colleagues on educational initiatives.
  • Conducting research and publishing in reputable journals to maintain a high level of expertise in the field.
  • Maintaining a sound knowledge of current University Policy and Procedures, and reliably following these or providing compliant advice to others.

Who We Are Looking For

The successful candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse students and patients. They will be highly motivated, capable of working both independently and collaboratively, and possess a commitment to ongoing professional development and teaching excellence in a clinical setting.

You will also have:

  • A primary dental qualification registrable with the Dental Board of Australia and current AHPRA registration (no previous or current AHPRA conditions).
  • A minimum of 3 years' clinical experience in a diversity of settings.
  • Evidence of ongoing extra-mural clinical practice and continuing professional development.
  • Highly motivated to develop skills consistent with teaching excellence.
