Development Assessment Leader

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our development assessment team. As a Development Assessment Leader, you will be responsible for guiding a team of planners in the assessment of development applications.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assess and report on development applications and modification applications.
  • Liaise with the public and developers.
  • Provide expert advice on planning matters.
  • Supervise the investigation, evaluation, and reporting of all applications.
  • Report regularly to senior management.
Requirements:
  • Degree or diploma qualifications in town planning, regional or urban planning recognised by a reputable industry body.
  • Extensive experience in development assessment is highly desirable.
  • Experience in acting as an expert witness in court proceedings.
  • Ability to interpret legislation and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Aptitude for working in a team environment.
