As a Senior Financial Crime Analyst at Westpac Group, you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our financial crime prevention efforts. You will be responsible for detecting, deterring, and fighting financial crime, working closely with the Financial Crime Surveillance team to identify and address suspicious activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform sophisticated financial crime analysis to uncover and address suspicious activities.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to junior analysts on complex cases.
  • Conduct peer reviews to ensure the quality and accuracy of investigative work.
  • Act as a key delegate in the absence of managers, ensuring operations continue smoothly and efficiently.
  • Support the preparation and management of reporting requests to meet organizational and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Experience within banking or financial services.
  • At least 3 years' experience within Financial Crime.
  • Experience in coaching, training, or mentoring team members will be highly regarded.
  • Proven ability to conduct thorough and systematic investigations into financial crime.
  • Investigative mindset and strong analytical skills.
  • Critical thinking and the ability to interpret information and make decisions.
  • Comfortable working independently and managing your own case load.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer literacy with ability to work with multiple systems with ease.
