Job Title: Senior Financial Crime Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Crime Analyst to join our team at Westpac Group. As a Senior Financial Crime Analyst, you will play a critical role in detecting, deterring, and fighting financial crime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform sophisticated financial crime analysis to uncover and address suspicious activities.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to junior analysts on complex cases.
  • Conduct peer reviews to ensure the quality and accuracy of investigative work.
  • Act as a key delegate in the absence of managers to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Support the preparation and management of reporting requests to meet organizational and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Experience within banking or financial services.
  • At least 3 years' experience within Financial Crime.
  • Experience in coaching, training, or mentoring team members.
  • Proven ability to conduct thorough and systematic investigations into financial crime.
  • Investigative mindset and strong analytical skills.
  • Critical thinking and the ability to interpret information and make decisions.
  • Comfortable working independently and managing your own case load.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer literacy with ability to work with multiple systems.
