Project Overview

A prominent financial institution in Australia is embarking on a significant streamlining initiative. This particular segment is dedicated to the Financial Crime Platform, aiming to assess the existing framework of its FCP platform across different brands and divisions. The objective is to deliver a comprehensive recommendation for consolidating and simplifying operations, accompanied by a business case that outlines costs, timelines, quality, and anticipated benefits.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Documentation: Transforming requirements into precise functional and non-functional business deliverables.

Problem Solving: Identifying solutions and collaborating with subject matter experts during team discussions.

Communication Skills: Effectively engaging with users and stakeholders to collect information, obtain feedback, and secure final approvals on various artifacts.

Stakeholder Management: Interacting with stakeholders to manage expectations and ensure alignment with assigned deliverables.

Essential Skills

Must Have:

- Proven experience in Financial Crime Management, including Fraud and Anti-Money Laundering / Counter-Terrorism Financing.

- Ability to consult professionally to identify issues and define, design, and deliver solutions.

- Serve as a trusted advisor, providing consultation to drive business strategies and assist in achieving goals.

- Facilitate workshops to support solution design for clients, gathering and validating requirements.

- Demonstrated experience in simplification or consolidation initiatives.

- Strong background in collaborating with multiple teams across various business units, with a focus on engagement.

- Capability to utilize business metrics for managing operations and enhancing efficiency.

- Proven experience in relationship management with internal stakeholders.

- Background in governmental or law enforcement investigations and intelligence teams.

- Drive business decision-making regarding scope prioritization.

- Proactively engage with teams to clarify business needs and opportunities, analyze and define requirements, and recommend and implement suitable solutions.

- Employ appropriate analysis methodologies to clarify needs, accurately identify root causes and desired outcomes, and assist in documenting these requirements.

- Apply analytical and conceptual thinking to design, recommend, and implement new approaches or enhancements to existing business and systems requirements.

- Translate business needs into requirements and proposed solutions, aligning delivery with management and external vendors.

- Review and approve functional specifications from external vendors to ensure they meet documented business and systems requirements, supporting subsequent phases of system development.

- Organize resources and assist in preparing and executing quality assurance processes to ensure the delivered solution meets business needs.

- Collaborate with other teams to coordinate the implementation of business solutions or assist the Release Manager in this activity.
