Role Overview
Ventia is seeking a highly skilled Fire Supervisor to join our Defence Base Services contract. This position is based at HMAS Stirling in Rockingham and will see you working within the Estate upkeep team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain all fire hydraulic suppression systems, including wet and dry systems, AFFF Deluge Fire Protection, sprinkler suppression, Fire Indicator Panels (FIP), Vesda, and oxygen depletion systems.
- Ensure compliance with set quality and technical standards through inspection and validation of physical work.
- Report and maintain compliance of activities, and assist with planning, scheduling, and allocation of activities within allocated budgets and timeframes.
- Manage accounts with suppliers to ensure equipment and services are available to tradespersons.
- Promote a safe working environment for all staff and subcontractors, and attend scheduled meetings to monitor progress and address issues.
Requirements
- Experience and understanding of various fire systems.
- Ability to deliver under pressure and deal with integrated systems and potential hazards.
- Leadership and motivating skills, including experience in managing in-house trades, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and Power BI.
