About the Role

The Production Supervisor will support the Operations Manager across the site in a specific region. This role involves overseeing daily operations on the production floor, driving initiatives related to safety and quality, and ensuring production Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and customer deadlines are met every day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe work environment by identifying hazards and coaching the team on proper work practices, adhering to HACCP-compliant standards.
  • Allocate and supervise production staff, manage attendance, and ensure policies are followed for effective resource utilization.
  • Rotate team members through roles to develop skills, prevent repetitive-strain injuries, and enhance job satisfaction.
  • Coordinate daily production schedules, paperwork sign-off, and recovery reporting for timely decision-making.
  • Monitor stock rotation - ingredients, bread, packaging - and ensure all materials are stored correctly for efficient inventory management.
  • Perform daily Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality checks; report non-conformances and liaise with Quality Assurance as needed.
  • Induct new team members into Quality Assurance processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); run toolbox talks/training sessions as directed.
  • Ensure the production area and office remain tidy, with regular rubbish removal.
  • Liaise with the Production Manager on staffing needs, resource gaps, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Thrives in a fast-paced production environment, delivering high-quality products while meeting customer expectations.
  • Has a strong working knowledge of HACCP and food-safety processes, with practical QA/GMP experience.
  • Brings proven supervisory or team-lead experience in a food-manufacturing setting, with a focus on team communication and conflict resolution.
  • Has solid skills in HR/IR principles, especially Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), with a detail-oriented approach and a mindset focused on continuous improvement.
  • Is comfortable generating and interpreting daily reports, driving change through data analysis.
