Senior Event Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Senior Event Planning Manager to join our team at Hyatt Regency Sydney. As a key member of our Event Planning Department, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional events and experiences for our clients.
Main Responsibilities- Proactively handle customer enquiries with a high standard of customer service.
- Develop future and repeat business by preparing quotations and creating suitable corporate and special event packages.
- Plan events across key market segments, including catering, charity, corporate events, socials, and weddings.
- Aim to exceed revenue and profitability objectives of the department.
- Independently manage promotional and advertising activities, such as developing sales brochures and maintaining a calendar of expos and marketing events.
- Work with the Director of Event Sales and Planning to generate new business opportunities in the corporate and special event market.
- Meet monthly targets, including KPIs and booking to conversion ratio for both weddings and MICE business.
- Collaborate with clients and the Operations Team to ensure effective coordination of events.
- A minimum of 4 years' industry experience.
- Passion for working in different sectors, including MICE, business socials, corporate, and weddings.
- Experience within the hospitality/hotel/events or catering industry is essential.
- Knowledge of the social market, vendors, and trends within Australia.
- Solid sales experience with a record of achieving targets, managing projects, and promotional activities.
- Experience in using computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Knowledge of Opera software and billing.
- Flexible to work rotating roster, including evenings and weekends.
- Strong attention to detail.
