Engineering Mechanical Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Engineering Mechanical Apprentice. This is an exceptional opportunity to develop your skills in mechanical engineering, working with industry-leading organisations and gaining valuable experience.

The apprenticeship will provide you with a combination of formal training and practical on-the-job experience, allowing you to gain a Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade qualification over 48 months.

  • You will be responsible for performing planned maintenance and breakdown repairs of diesel mining equipment, marking out jobs, setting up machines, preparing materials, tools, and fixtures for machining, undertaking machining operations, servicing, repairing, and maintaining existing mining equipment.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, good mathematical skills, and a genuine interest in the Engineering Mechanical trade. You must also possess a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and develop new skills and knowledge, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Required qualifications include a current driver's license (P1 or above) and a willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical assessment including a drug and alcohol screen.
