We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Tradesperson to join our team at our National Maintenance Facility in Appin NSW. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and reconditioning gas and diesel engines for our power generation sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work on Caterpillar gas engines
  • Recondition cylinder heads and small components
  • Assess parts for reuse and recondition engines and other equipment
  • Supervise apprentices in training and teach correct work practices
  • Test engines on completion of overhaul
  • Paint and prepare engines for dispatch to site
  • Assist with removal and installation of engines onsite
  • Maintain EDL safety culture to a high standard
  • Support and comply with company policies and procedures as documented in the company's employment policies
  • Travel to sites around Australia to perform breakdown activities

The ideal candidate will hold a Trade Certificate in Plant Mechanics or Fitting and have previous experience with diesel or gas engine repair and reconditioning. Experience with Caterpillar, Deutz, and Jenbacher engines is highly desirable.
