Job Summary:

This is a dynamic opportunity to develop your skills in mechanical engineering, with a focus on diesel mining equipment maintenance and repair.

As an apprentice, you will work closely with experienced technicians to gain hands-on experience and theoretical knowledge of the trade.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance and repair of diesel mining equipment
  • Setting up machines, preparing materials, tools and fixtures for machining
  • Performing various machining operations, including drilling, reaming, turning, milling, grinding and boring
  • Service and maintenance of existing mining equipment
Requirements:
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and mathematical skills
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Current driver's license (P1 or above)
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment medical assessment including drug and alcohol screen
