Formulation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled individual to join our production process as a Formulation Specialist. This key member will be responsible for the accurate preparation of raw materials and ingredients for formulation.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare production equipment according to quality standards and regulatory frameworks for formulation/blending within the factory premises.
  • Follow established work instructions to prepare raw materials, including accurately weighing, measuring, and mixing.
  • Operate blending machines and ensure the blending processes are followed accurately to maintain high-quality batches.
  • Check inventory levels and review production schedules to gather all relevant information for raw material preparation.
  • Comply with general safety guidelines and specific safety protocols for each new formulation.
  • Package and label finished goods, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Complete associated documentation for each batch of new blends, maintaining accurate records for traceability.
  • Record orders for traceability and dispatch to the warehouse team.
  • Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of equipment as required.
  • Adhere to approved operational standards to ensure consistent product quality.

Requirements

  • Must be physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience with HACCP and GMP advantageous.
  • Forklift licence highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Strong numerical skills and mathematical aptitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to occupational health and safety.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday - 7am to 3pm.
