Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Materials Management Specialist to join our central planning team in Melbourne. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the central business planning of raw materials within a given portfolio of suppliers and material types, aligning with business key performance indicators (KPIs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and monitor requirements for the set portfolio of materials and suppliers to ensure availability of materials for production deadlines.
  • Manage and raise purchase orders for materials required by the operations team to meet tactical schedules and project-based material changeovers.
  • Review day-to-day materials stock reviews, identify risks, and work through mitigating issues.
  • Understand, interpret, and manage project changeover requirements and timing.
  • Work closely with materials suppliers to monitor material timing and availability, developing actions to review and rectify as required.

Requirements:

  • Similar experience within fast-paced manufacturing industries.
  • Graduate in Supply Chain or Logistics disciplines.
  • Sound experience with project management, Continuous Improvement, and stakeholder management.
  • Sound understanding of Supply Planning concepts, influencing skills, and vendor management.
