Job Title: Financial Planning Expert

Ordinarily, you would need to choose between financial planning and private wealth management. However, in this Strategic Paraplanner role at a reputable firm, you will have the unique opportunity to combine both expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive support to advisers to ensure the delivery of high-quality financial advice
  • Prepare complex Statements of Advice (SOAs) and Reports of Advice (ROAs)
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews to guarantee that advice is accurate and compliant
  • Offer technical support and strategy consulting services to enhance adviser capabilities
  • Collaborate with advisers on the development of client strategies and provide guidance on the advice process
  • Conduct thorough research using various resources to stay up-to-date on market trends and developments
  • Guide private wealth assistants in implementing effective advice solutions

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Financial Planning or a related field are essential for success in this role
  • Adherence to the Financial Adviser Education Standard requirements is mandatory
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in preparing SOAs, financial projections, and adviser support is required
  • Advanced Xplan skills, including SOA generation, are necessary for generating professional advice documents
  • Strong Word and Excel skills are expected to enable efficient data analysis and presentation
  • Broad knowledge of the Financial Planning advice process, portfolio construction, and implementation is vital for delivering exceptional results
