We're one global team - 47,000 strong - driven by a common purpose to deliver a better world. Our growing Energy team is looking for a Grid Modernisation Expert to drive innovative change and support the acceleration of the big energy transition.

This role will develop and implement our strategy in delivering a major energy transition, engaging renewable energy sources, and improving grid connection across Australia and New Zealand. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in transforming Australia or New Zealand's energy market and a passion to improve the performance of renewable energy and its generation and distribution across the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop multi-year ANZ Grid Modernisation Strategy, implementation plans and priorities.
  • Confirm ANZ capability requirements to achieve growth strategy and support implementation of recruitment plan in collaboration with regional leaders and internal stakeholders/resources.
  • Lead engagement with global Grid Modernisation Experts for global pursuits, workshare and development of global capability
  • Identify and partner with key clients in collaboration with regional leaders and key stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable leading knowledge in Australian and/or New Zealand Transmission and Distribution networks, including key emerging technologies in grid connection (microgrids, decentralised generation and storage), major grid upgrades, transmission interconnection and renewable energy and storage connection infrastructure.
  • Proven leadership skills, including technical leadership, human relations, team building, innovation, and motivation skills.
  • Capable in developing a strong client base with a passion to drive client-focussed results.
  • Collaborative approach; willing to share knowledge, experience and ideas while driving multidisciplinary teams towards one shared goal.
