About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Service Manager to lead our team at Mercy Place Ballarat, a 112-bed small household living model residential aged care home. As a Service Manager, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional resident-centred care, promoting a positive and safe culture, and driving continuous improvement in accordance with accreditation and aged care standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of staff to deliver best practice operational and clinical services, including allied health, hospitality, lifestyle, and community activities.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of services and high-quality care.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote a positive and safe culture, and drive continuous improvement in accordance with accreditation and aged care standards.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement business plans, budgets, and efficient rostering.
  • Ensure compliance with AN-ACC, accreditation, and expected aged care standards.
Requirements
  • Strong HR and people management skills, including staff leadership and development, succession planning, and experience in change management in a residential aged care environment.
  • High level of communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to engage residents, families, the community, and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Business acumen, including budgets, efficient rostering, and occupancy.
  • Aged care knowledge relating to AN-ACC, accreditation, and expected aged care standards.
  • Ability to unite and lead a team focused on high performance in a values-driven culture.
  • Demonstrated understanding of person-centred care and ability to work in a team environment.
