Job Description

As a Support and Guidance Specialist, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of VET students with complex needs. Your primary role will be to provide personalized support and guidance to help them achieve a successful vocational education training outcome.

You will work closely with trainers and other key stakeholders to ensure effective achievement of outcomes. This may involve assessing students' living, learning, and transition needs, and providing individualized practical and emotional support.

Ultimately, your goal will be to empower students to take control of their own success and transition smoothly into further study or employment.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in working with individuals who require specialized support and guidance.
  • Strong engagement skills and the ability to influence and motivate students using a coaching and advisory approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, trainers, and other stakeholders.
  • Be willing to complete a Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
  • Have possession of a current valid Driver's License and your own registered vehicle with a 4–5-star ANCAP safety rating.
  • Be eligible to work in Australia.
