Global Freight Coordinator

Job Description

Our organization is seeking an experienced professional to manage international shipments and coordinate logistics operations.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the full shipment lifecycle, from initiation to completion, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in meeting customer requirements.

This involves close collaboration with customers to oversee all related tasks, maintain daily communication, handle reporting, and manage emails.

A successful freight coordinator thrives in a fast-paced environment, finding swift resolutions to transportation and documentation problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage international shipping processes, documentation, and terminology
  • Understand and input financial components of shipments for accurate billing
  • Apply industry knowledge and critical thinking to adapt processes/create solutions
  • Execute and coordinate shipment tasks as per customer SOPs - booking approvals, processing pre-alerts, governmental filings, deliveries, and invoicing
  • Maintain high data integrity across all shipment details including INCOterms, routing, dates, and documentation
Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma/ degree or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in freight forwarding operations/logistics and supply chain industry

Preferred:

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to prioritize/multitask/deliver exceptional customer service
  • Excellent follow-up and coordination with customers/network
  • Critical-thinking/flexibility/problem-solving skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced/deadline-driven environment
