About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Officer to join our corporate finance team in Townsville. The successful candidate will assist the Finance Accountants in the sound financial management of selectability and associated entities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and process the company's payroll on a timely basis
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and reports
  • Handle payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies
  • Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure seamless payroll operations
  • Stay updated with changes in payroll laws and regulations
About You

To be successful, you must have:

  • Experience and competence at an advanced level in the use of MYOB and Microsoft Excel
  • Understanding of job costing processes
  • High understanding of the operation of different awards, including SCHADS, Aged Care, Nursing, Education, and Health Professionals awards
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; capacity to interact with staff at all levels and to work effectively with the team
  • High-level organisational, administrative, and project management skills, including the ability to set priorities against competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
