Logistics Specialist Job Description

As a Logistics Specialist, you will oversee the execution of logistics plans and provide technical support to external logistics service providers across Australia and New Zealand.

This role involves direct coordination with key logistics providers, prioritizing logistics operations to meet business needs, and leading routine operational reviews. Additionally, you will investigate incidents, prepare draft reports, and contribute to the improvement of logistics processes.

  • Prioritize and execute logistics operations to meet business requirements.
  • Lead and coordinate routine operational reviews with logistics providers.
  • Support organizational goals by investigating incidents and preparing reports.

You will also be responsible for coordinating export activities from Australia, collaborating with global teams, and monitoring EDI systems. Furthermore, you will track On-Time Delivery metrics, maintain SAP system data, record and measure logistics KPIs, and ensure accurate inventory records at warehouses.

To succeed in this role, you will need strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners.

RequirementsMinimum Qualifications
  • Degree (BS/BA/BCom) in Supply Chain, Business, or technical field.
Experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or inventory management.
  • Proven track record in coordinating logistics operations and managing third-party logistics providers.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Strong understanding of EDI processes and inventory control systems.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with data analysis tools.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and prioritize logistics operations to meet business objectives.
  • Coordinate export activities from Australia and collaborate with global teams.
  • Monitor EDI systems and track On-Time Delivery metrics.
