Job Opportunity:

  • The Director, Procurement Operations will lead the development and delivery of a procurement and supply chain service to the NSW Health system.
  • This role is responsible for sourcing and contract management across the NSW Health system and managing its supply chain.
  • The Director contributes to ensuring NSW Health optimises procurement value and delivers on organisational procurement strategies, priorities, and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement best practice product sourcing, warehousing, supply chain logistics, and distribution for the NSW Health system.
  • Deliver excellent results in a complex service environment.
  • Maintain procurement standards and promote a safe and constructive workplace culture.
  • Manage a geographically dispersed system of service delivery.

Requirements:

  • A senior executive with appropriate experience and tertiary qualifications in a related discipline or equivalent relevant experience in a business or procurement field.
  • An understanding of Government policies and practices in key areas including procurement, business reform, and corporate services.
  • Solid knowledge of industry processes associated with supply chain management, service agreements, contract law, probity, and contract dispute resolution.
