This is a senior leadership role where you will lead Queensland's Fiscal, Economics and Commercial division in shaping the state's economic future. You will drive economic and fiscal policy, oversee high-value commercial projects, and deliver innovative solutions that meet government priorities.

In this role, you will provide authoritative advice and analysis to senior stakeholders on Queensland's economic and fiscal performance. You will also lead the development of solutions that support economic, fiscal, and policy objectives aligned with government commitments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic advice on major economic development initiatives and commercial projects">
  • Overseeing the delivery of whole-of-government fiscal and risk management policies">
  • Leading and inspiring a team of professionals to achieve departmental and government objectives">
  • Representing Queensland in high-level negotiations and consultations">

The ideal candidate will have a proven record of success as a leader in a large and complex organisation. They will also have expertise in developing and implementing complex economic, fiscal, commercial, or public policy frameworks.

A strong ability to create innovative solutions to complex challenges is essential, as is extensive experience in delivering significant and complex transactions, infrastructure, and commercial projects.

High-level political acumen and the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships effectively are also required. Outstanding judgement, integrity, and ethical leadership are essential qualities for this role.
