Job Title: Strategic Economic Leader
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to join our team as a Strategic Economic Leader.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement complex economic and fiscal policy frameworks.
- Lead the delivery of whole-of-government fiscal and risk management policies.
- Provide strategic advice on major economic development initiatives and commercial projects.
- Oversee the State Actuary's Office, Financial Provisioning Scheme, and QGSO, ensuring alignment with Treasury's objectives.
- Represent Treasury in high-level negotiations and consultations.
- A proven record of success as a leader in a large and complex organisation.
- Expertise in developing and implementing complex economic, fiscal, commercial, or public policy frameworks.
- Strong ability to create innovative solutions to complex challenges.
- Extensive experience in delivering significant and complex transactions, infrastructure, and commercial projects.
- High-level political acumen and effective stakeholder relationships.
- Outstanding judgement, integrity, and ethical leadership.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and adaptability in evolving environments.
