Job Opportunity: Central Intake Officer

This role is focused on supporting the health and wellbeing of the community by managing initial triage and registration for various clinical services.

The Central Intake Service receives referrals from public and professional networks, providing empathetic responses while navigating service eligibility. You will ensure those not meeting criteria are directed towards alternative pathways, maintaining dignity and respect throughout the process.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage initial triage and registration for various clinical services.
  • Facilitate referrals into Community Health Care and Child, Family and Priority Populations streams.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to provide high-quality services.
Key Requirements
  • Minimum Certificate IV or Diploma in Welfare Work (or similar).
  • Demonstrated recent experience in a welfare role.
  • Experience using IT systems and client registration systems.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Able to work independently and within a team.
