About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Sales and Events Marketing Manager to drive growth at Tyro Payments Limited through our referral verticals and industry events.

This role will be focused on managing industry events and establishing, scaling, and managing a new referral network of Tyro Brokers selling Tyro products to Australian merchants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be the internal, central point of contact for driving Tyro Broker Network growth
  • Coordinate industry events such as the Tyro Innovation Awards
  • Coordinate the end-to-end recruitment process for new Tyro Brokers, assisting with screening applicants, coordinating information nights and webinars and follow-ups activities and more
  • Prepare recruitment marketing plans, the broker value proposition and marketing assets e.g. web pages, experiences, information decks
  • Engage Partner managers to manage, train and onboard brokers
  • Develop a scale-up plan to leverage broker and merchant footprints, organising operations in local areas
  • Coordinate training events and forums or other broker engagement activities
  • Coordinate marketing materials, including Broker marketing hubs and all the sales and marketing collateral available to you
  • Coordinate broker campaigns, research and mass communications to the broker network, sales and marketing initiatives including bonus offers, promotions and news about Tyro's brokers and services for themselves or their merchants
  • Prepare and present recruitment, performance and other reports that will influence stakeholders to make changes to improve the operations, sales or marketing via the network
Requirements
  • Proven experience in sales and (events) marketing roles, preferably within the financial services or technology sectors
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, organising, and executing industry events, webinars, and training sessions
  • Experience in managing and growing broker networks or similar referral-based sales channels is ideal
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on deadlines
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in preparing and presenting performance reports that drive strategic decision-making
  • Proficiency in using CRM software, marketing automation tools, and other relevant technologies to support sales and marketing activities is beneficial
  • Understanding of risk management practices and the ability to identify and mitigate risks in day-to-day activities
