Diesel Fitter Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter to join our Industrial branch in Townsville. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing service and repairs on construction equipment.

The ideal candidate will have experience as a Qualified Diesel Fitter, preferably with Heavy Construction equipment. Hydraulic & Electrical experience is highly regarded. The candidate should be able to work overtime and participate in an 'on call' (breakdown) roster.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform service and repairs in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and directions
  • Work within job guidelines and timelines

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Qualified Diesel Fitter, preferably with Heavy Construction equipment
  • Hydraulic & Electrical experience highly regarded
  • Ability to work overtime and participate in an 'on call' (breakdown) roster
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team player with a can-do attitude and pride in their work
