Diesel Fitter

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Diesel Fitter/Mechanic to perform diesel fitting tasks, including engine and transmission rebuilding, diagnostic testing and fault finding.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proven experience in diesel fitting
  • Engine & transmission rebuilding
  • Diagnostic testing (Dyno testing experience advantageous)
  • Experience on Caterpillar highly regarded
  • Fault finding – inspect, identify and diagnose mechanical issues
  • Scope jobs accurately for quality repair of plant and equipment, including estimation of time, materials and resources required to complete the job
  • Perform site inspection process
  • Participate in daily shift information meetings
  • Ensure workshop procedures are adhered to and understood
About You:
  • Trade Qualified
  • Ability to perform both workshop and site work
  • Demonstrated ability for safety
  • Own transport
  • Basic tools of trade
