Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to provide in-home assistance to an individual with Schizo-Affective Disorder.

The successful candidate will work 25 hours per week, with opportunities for increased hours based on client needs.

This role involves providing personalized care, delivering high-quality services, and creating a safe environment for the client.

  • Responsibilities include assisting with daily tasks, planning, communication, and transport
  • Providing personal care assistance with toileting, showering, meals, medication, grooming, dressing, and household chores

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support/Disability
  • Mental Health specific study highly regarded
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current issues, standards, and trends in disability services under the NDIS funding model
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle change with enthusiasm, resilience, and flexibility

Essential qualifications include:

  • First Aid & CPR Training
  • Victorian Driver's Licence (P2 minimum)
  • Own Victorian Registered Vehicle with Insurance
  • Working with Children Check
  • Covid19 Vaccination (3 doses)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (if not, be prepared to obtain)
