Mental Health Support Worker

About the Role:

We are seeking compassionate and experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team in a SIL environment.

The successful candidate will be supporting a female client with schizoaffective disorder - bipolar type/rapid cycling, a condition that involves complex behaviors.

">

Due to the specific needs of our client, we are looking for female support workers, preferably with a background in mental health. Our client enjoys shopping, music, and television.

">

Key Responsibilities:

">

Support the client with daily tasks and activities, promoting independence and well-being.

">

Manage complex behaviors and impulsive decisions, providing proactive care and support.

">

Develop and maintain positive relationships with the client, family members, and other stakeholders.

">

Requirements:

Experience in mental health

">

Ability to manage complex behaviors and impulsive decisions

">

Understanding of the client's specific needs and ability to provide consistent, proactive care

">

Essential Certificates and Licenses:

">

Working with Children Check - Employee (Must have a current check)

">

NDIS Screening Check - Employee (Must have a current check)

">

Drivers Licence and Vehicle with comprehensive insurance needed for this role

">

First Aid and CPR Certificate - (Must be current or booked)
