Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Mental Health Nurse in our team.

  • You will be responsible for comprehensive psychiatric assessment and treatment of clients in various community and residential settings.
  • You will provide intake and triage, crisis support, assessment, and case management, reviewing risk and providing support to reduce the impact of illness and enhance independence.

The role requires a registered psychiatric nurse with postgraduate qualifications, current registration with AHPRA, and 5 years of experience in mental health care, particularly in the care of older adults. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive psychiatric assessment and treatment of clients
  • Intake and triage, crisis support, assessment, and case management
  • Reviewing risk and providing support to reduce the impact of illness and enhance independence
  • Providing discipline-specific support and advice to the team
Requirements:

We are seeking a professional with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications
  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • 5 years post-qualification clinical experience within mental health, particularly in the care of older adults
