Job Title:

Rail infrastructure planning plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of rail networks. As a Senior Rail Infrastructure Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating requests for work near high voltage equipment, developing isolation earthing plans, and supporting the safe execution of work across the network.

You will plan and schedule work on or near overhead line equipment, ensuring alignment with train operations and compliance with isolation procedures. This involves creating accurate entries in the isolation form database, generating work orders in the CMMS, and producing performance reports. You will also contribute to procedural improvements and provide advice, training, and support to staff on permit to work processes and working safely near OLE.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate requests for work near high voltage equipment
  • Develop isolation earthing plans and support the safe execution of work
  • Schedule work on or near overhead line equipment, ensuring alignment with train operations and compliance with isolation procedures
  • Create accurate entries in the isolation form database and generate work orders in the CMMS
  • Produce performance reports and contribute to procedural improvements
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and scheduling work on or near OLE equipment
  • Strong knowledge of traction power systems and infrastructure
  • Ability to interpret OLE/electrical drawings and provide technical advice
  • Leadership and supervisory skills, with ability to ensure deadlines are met and high-quality standards are consistently maintained
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Analytical, organisational, and computer skills, including experience with CMMS and Microsoft Excel
