Job Summary

As a Highways Team Lead at AECOM, you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals on complex transportation projects in South-East Queensland. This is an exciting opportunity to guide a talented group of engineers and designers on region-shaping projects, blending leadership, innovation, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Lead project execution and cultivate a culture of excellence, inspiring your team to deliver high-quality results that exceed client expectations.
Forge strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and driving satisfaction and repeat business.
Identify opportunities to expand our portfolio, lead proposal efforts, and enhance AECOM's presence in the market.
Work with an industry-leading team on a broad range of city-shaping transport infrastructure projects, including some of Queensland's largest road and public transport projects.
Influence and lead strategy development and execution to achieve business success.
Foster a culture of technical excellence and collaboration with our multidisciplinary teams.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, customers, and partners.
Lead change and productivity as we continue our digital delivery journey.

Requirements

Tertiary qualification in engineering suitable to hold (or obtain) RPEQ status in Queensland, ideally with 15 years + relevant experience.
Demonstrated experience in managing major transport infrastructure projects in a highways design capacity and meeting delivery requirements.
Knowledge of the market for consulting services in Queensland to support the positioning and winning of projects, including Business Cases, design only contract development, D&C and ETI delivery.
An effective leader with tenacity and drive to achieve outstanding results, grow the team, and balance priorities.
Strong client focus and relationships, with business development experience and demonstrated commercial acumen.
Understanding of consulting resourcing planning and forecasting.
Flexibility to be present across our Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, and Gold Coast offices to develop client relationships, mentor staff, and build team rapport.
