About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for medical professionals to contribute their expertise and passion to a dynamic healthcare team. As a Medical Care Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering compassionate patient care, providing medical services across a range of healthcare contexts, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver education, training, and clinical leadership within the service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive patient care in various settings, including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, community services, and hospital consultancy.
  • Provide high-quality medical services across a range of healthcare contexts.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver education, training, and clinical leadership within the service.
  • Ensure continuity of care through participation in on-call rosters.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant medical qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Fellowship exam completed or nearing completion by July 2025.
  • Pre-employment National Police Check required.
  • Compliance with Occupational Assessment, Screening, and Vaccination policy.
  • Credentialing and scope of clinical practice requirements for medical professionals met.

  • Total Salary Range: $265,607 to $358,114 (pro rata for part-time positions).
  • Base Salary: $188,151 to $254,198 (pro rata for part-time); starting salary negotiated based on experience.
  • Private Practice Scheme Allowance and on-call allowance available.
  • Superannuation: 12% of base salary.
  • Generous leave provisions, including training/education leave and annual leave.
  • Salary packaging options with fringe benefits tax concessions.
